Newly Launched Prabuddha Bharata Internet Archives

We are pleased to announce—in celebration of Prabuddha Bharata’s 125th anniversary— the launch of Prabuddha Bharata Archives. This reader-friendly interface will enable scholars, devotees, and general readers to easily search and find any article or book review by title, word, or author which has been published in Prabuddha Bharata since its inception in 1896.

Approximately five lakh pages of the journal have already been uploaded to this search portal for the benefit of the general public and research scholars.

Prabuddha Bharata or Awakened India is an English-language monthly journal of the Ramakrishna Order, which has been in publication since July 1896. It has articles and translations by monks, scholars, and practitioners on various subjects including Vedic spiritual wisdom, psychology, history, humanities and social sciences. It also has a section for book reviews where important publications from around the world are reviewed.

It is edited from Advaita Ashrama, Mayavati, Uttarakhand, and is published and printed in Kolkata. Prabuddha Bharata is India’s longest-running English journal.
