Spiritual Retreat at Sarada Tapovan, Rishikesh by Swami Shuddhidananda

Vivekachudamani, literally translated as the ‘Crest Jewel of Discrimination’, is a composition, by Sri Adi Shankaracharya, guiding the student along the spiritual path to reach the Ultimate Reality.

Serious spiritual aspirants in the age group of 18 to 65, inclined towards the path of Advaita Vedanta, may alone wish to register for the Retreat at Jaulanai.

  • As seats are limited, registration will be done on first-come first-served basis.
  • The nearest health care facility is three hours drive from Sarada Tapovan, so people with any health problem, particularly high blood pressure are advised not to register. 
  • Registration fee covers accommodation and food. This includes dinner on the day of arrival, breakfast, lunch, tea, and dinner for the three days of retreat and breakfast on the day of departure.
  • Registration Fee cannot be refunded. It can however be adjusted against the registration fee of any future retreat at the Sarada Tapovan during the next one year.  Inability to join the retreat must be intimated to us before the 25th of May 2024.


Participants have to make their own travel arrangements.
Sarada Tapovan is accessible by road from Haridwar (100 km), Dehradun (100 km) and Delhi NCR (300 km). Major Railway stations near by are Haridwar and Dehradun. The nearest Airport is Jolly Grant Airport (85 km), Dehradun.
Arrival: Participants are requested to reach the venue before 7 pm on the day before the start of the Retreat. Dinner will be served at 7:30 pm.
Departure: Check out time – 8:30 am, the day after the end of the Retreat. Breakfast will be served at 7:30 am.
